Definitions

Ink– a pigmented liquid or paste used for writing or printing.

Rag– 1. a newspaper or magazine that has an easy reading level
(slang usage), typically for tabloids. 2. a piece of cloth.

History

The Ink Rag started back in 2001, during my time in college at VCC. It was a newsletter started by the 2nd year students to inform other students about past and present printing techniques as well as about having fun and operating the printing presses. Ink rags were so common and we were always cleaning the press after every run. The newsletter ran for 8 issues and it was great being production manager, editor, and sometimes designing the layout. That Ink Rag is no more. However for the sake of nostalgia, I’ve brought it back, at least in name.

What’s the purpose of this site?

One of my hobbies is taking pictures of nature, buildings, and animals. I also do sketching and drawing using Adobe software. I then sell my best photos on BigStockPhoto.com. If you want to check it out, my photographer name is Dremel. (Link)
